Often, liked for their elegance, charm and comfort. Innovatively, for the time, Cinderella Homes combined the aesthetic and quality of a custom-built home into a tract home development. Apparently, house experts say that the Storybook and Cinderella are related. Happily, at a price families could afford. Reliably, these magical, well-built homes are still popular today. And, Jean Vandruff, passed away in 2021, at 99 years old.
A Storybook History Of Woodland Hills
The modern history of Woodland Hills began in the early 20th century. And, the ” Story ” is the area was known as Girard. Apparently, in 1922, Victor Girard Kleinberger, a developer and entrepreneur, purchased 2,886 acres of land and established the town of Girard. Moreover, Kleinberger had grand visions for the area, promoting it as a utopian community with lush landscapes and modern amenities. For example, he planted thousands of trees, creating a green, picturesque environment that attracted new residents.
Because, of growth in the 1940s, the name of the community was changed to Woodland Hills. And, this change better reflected its verdant surroundings. Amazingly, the post-World War II era saw unbelievable growth. Therefore, leading to the development of Woodland Hills and, part of the suburban boom. Remarkably, this transformed the San Fernando Valley. Forever. Looking back, Storybook Ranch Style houses are a ” Go-To ” reminder of a piece of time. The mid-century 1950s.
